Tell us about your family.
I am married to my wonderful husband Brennen. We have two fur babies, Cocoa and Winston!
What was your journey to become a doula?
My path to becoming a Doula had twists and turns just like everything in this life, but what better way to learn to be flexible and go with the flow. It started when I was a senior in high school. I knew I wanted to work with expectant parents and of course the babies! After researching careers, I decided to go to school to be an ultrasound technician and then that would mean I get to take the exciting pictures of the babies that expectant parents look forward to. After starting school, I decided there had to be more! That is when I researched doulas and completed my first labor doula training with DONA. While working towards certification, I also decided to finish schooling and obtain a degree in business administration! Shortly after graduating from school, I came across the ProDoula company and found it to be a perfect fit for me. I completed my training with them and am now a Certified ProDoula Labor and Postpartum doula!

The three words that best describe me are organized, patient and compassionate.
Haley’s words of wisdom:
I believe that birth is a very intimate experience and that every expectant parent should be supported and treated with respect and compassion. No one knows how your body is feeling better than you do! A birthing parent should have the right to make their own informed decisions with no judgement from those around them.

What’s your favorite show?
My favorite T.V. show is Grey’s Anatomy, yes I have watched the whole series four times!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower, I would choose to have telepathy. I would choose this power because it would allow me to better help people without even needing sensory channels. This would be really neat in my role as a Doula because I would be able to hear what a birthing parent needs without them being expected to say a word.

Who is your role model?
My role model is my Pastor’s wife because she is the most genuine person that I know. She has the biggest heart and truly wants to help others through their most difficult situations. I strive to be just like her!
